Giacomo de Angelis served under Pope Innocent X and Pope Alexander VII; elected archbishop of Urbino in 1660; created Cardinal in 1686; also Abbot of Nonantola. He participated in the conclaves of 1689 and 1691 which elected Popes Alexander VIII and Innocent XII . He died in Barga in 1695, but was buried in Rome in the family chapel of the Church of St. Peter of Alcantara in Rome.
